MARMOLUX AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Marble is an ecological raw material, for three main reasons:

- It is a natural rock, deriving from limestone metamorphosis;
- Its manufacturing techniques are not polluting, since they require, mostly, only the aid of electricity and water;
- Its manufacturing waste is 100% recyclable.

These characteristics make the marble an excellent material for use in the eco building industry, able to contribute to the LEED (Leadership in Energy Environmental Design) standard, a certification which evaluates the impact of a building on the environment. Marmolux also adopts low impact manufacturing methods, together with the natural sustainability of the material. At its Headquarters, the company is also involved in an environmental restoration project, using the manufacturing and excavated rocks waste and thus reducing air pollution caused by transporting these same materials off site.
